Practice AreasAs a member of the queer community, I specialize in supporting LGBTQ+ individuals as they navigate trauma, stigma, and a difficult political climate. I'm passionate about serving my community and offering a safe space for clients to process the realities of living in the world as they are.
Additionally, I work with adolescents, young adults, and adults experiencing a variety of issues including:
The Counseling ProcessI bring a deep capacity for empathy and offer a warm, spacious, and solid container where you can process your emotional experience without judgment. Together, we explore how mind, body, and spirit intertwine with the external cultural and societal forces shaping your life, working toward a felt sense of wholeness, connectedness, and personal strength. I draw on a range of modalities and stay curious with each client about what they need, session by session. My approach is intuitive, feeling for the rhythm that's right for a client and meeting them there, rather than asking them to adapt to mine.
In our work together we will develop the skills of inquiry and intuition. Inquiry is the ability to ask questions of yourself with openness and curiosity, instead of fear or avoidance. Intuition is the ability to feel into your own inherent wisdom about which direction to move, what needs asking next, what you're ready for. From this foundation we will explore your inner world and past traumas, fostering a sense of self-confidence and trust, ultimately allowing you to move through the world with more clarity, ease, and flow. Professional ExperienceI hold a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) and I have been a practicing clinician for two years. My background also includes research on adolescent health and LGBTQ+ youth experiences, as well as volunteer crisis counseling work supporting survivors of sexual violence.
